Privacy Standards

Privacy Policy

MindRelax is designed with privacy by default. We do not require accounts, do not collect personal health information, and do not track your quiz answers.

1. No Account or Registration Required

You do not need to create an account, provide an email address, or create a password to use any game, quiz, or article on MindRelax. The site is freely accessible to everyone.

2. How Your Quiz & Reflection Data is Handled

When you complete a quiz or reflection exercise, your responses and scores are processed solely in your browser's local memory (JavaScript runtime). We never transmit, log, or store your quiz answers on any external server or remote database. Once you navigate away or close your browser tab, in-memory responses are automatically erased.

3. Local Browser Storage (localStorage)

We use minimal local browser storage solely to remember basic user preferences (such as sound muting or optional session indicators) if you choose to enable them. No sensitive health information is ever stored in localStorage. You can permanently wipe all local browser storage at any time by clicking the "Clear My Local Data" button in the website footer.

4. Third-Party YouTube Video Embeds

Our video library features curated educational videos hosted on YouTube. To protect your privacy:

  • We use a click-to-load facade. No YouTube cookies, scripts, or connections are initiated when you simply view our video page.
  • A connection to YouTube's privacy-enhanced domain (youtube-nocookie.com) is only initiated when you explicitly click the play button on a video.
  • Once initiated, your interaction with the video player is governed by Google / YouTube's standard privacy policy.

5. Analytics & Cookies

MindRelax does not use intrusive tracking cookies, behavioral ad-targeting pixels, or invasive surveillance scripts. Any server logs collected by our hosting infrastructure are limited to standard, anonymous technical records (HTTP request status, user-agent, and anonymized IP) necessary to prevent denial-of-service attacks and ensure server reliability.

6. Contact Regarding Privacy

If you have questions about our privacy practices, please contact us through our Contact page.
